Initial Report: Train Derailment near Cade LA Lafayette Subdivision

On Monday, August 21, 2023 at 5:03 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Cade, LA which has affected the main track.  Cade, LA is approximately 13 miles south of Lafayette, LA.  BNSF personnel are on hand to assess the derailment site.  The estimated time of reopening the main track is Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 4:00 a.m.
